Pewter and Porcelain is a series that materialise the surface marks of 2 found objects. Used for their qualities to highlight fine detail, thinly rolled sheets of porcelain are fused together with sand casted pewter.
The found objects were originally found discarded in the road and collected due to their curious forms and patinated surfaces. This collection, arranged with the original objects, extracts and emphasises the fine details and forms that first drew me to collecting them. A new perspective is created, as these objects now exist as fragile pieces of art.
